JERS

In middle school my main buddy was Emilio Abadia. We would make mix tapes together and were inspired by Surfer Dave's "Progressive" radio show that aired once a week on 1380 AM. It was way back then when we decided we wanted to become DJs. Our own fictional radio station we came up with was JERS (Justin Emilio Radio Station). So we would write it on our mix tapes and draw it in our composition books next to drawing of all the band logos we liked like Dead Kennedys, NIN, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. One day I'll have to digitise some of those old tapes I still kept mixtapes, but tossed out 2 full huge garbage bags of cassette tapes a couple of years ago.
Emilio now goes as "E-Six", and is now one of Chicago's Hottest DJs. He also produces remixes and original music. Check him out here:

Here is a mix of him on the Rollin's College Radio station. He gives me a shot out at the end!
